Location: Coonarr Near Bundaberg

  • $37/hour

  • Our client, a local sand mine near Bundaberg, is currently seeking a Wet Plant Operator to join their team. This is a casual role with the potential to move into a permanent position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate the wet plant including startup and shutdown

    • Conduct daily SLAMs, hazard identification, and contribute to JSEAs

    • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping

    • Attend and contribute to safety, quality, and environmental meetings

    • Comply with all site operational procedures and safety systems

  • To be considered for these roles, applicants must possess the following skills and experience and meet the following requirements:

    • Current Forklift Ticket

    • Ability to operate wet plant, forklift, front-end loader, and other equipment as directed

    • Understanding of wet plant processes and sand quality requirements

    • Ability to troubleshoot plant issues and work independently

    • Comfortable with shift work, including weekends if required

    • Must comply with site respiratory PPE requirements (clean-shaven for dust mask use)

    • Willingness to undergo full medical, respiratory health assessment, and DnA testing

    • Understanding of obligations under the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act (Section 39)
